Championship side Portsmouth are close to appointing a new manager, BBC Radio Solent reports.
Burnley boss Eddie Howe, the former Bournemouth boss, is the latest bookmakers favourite for the job.
Chief executive David Lampitt admitted the process is entering its final stages.
"Things are going very well and hopefully we are nearing the end of our search," Lampitt told BBC Radio Solent.
Former Bournemouth and Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll is also being linked to the role.
And former Burnley boss Brian Laws and ex-Aberdeen manager Mark McGee have both told local media that they are interested in the job.
