Portsmouth boss Tony Adams admits he has concerns over his job as club owner Sacha Gaydamak seeks to sell.
He said: "I think given time here I can be successful. But I do fear I am not going to be given time because we are very driven by results. We are living in a society of 'now'.
"Football clubs are being bought and sold every day and managers are coming and going. Players are going in and out. The turnaround is quite frightening.
"It seems like it is about 18 months to two years for a manager nowadays, so we will see.
"I am planning on being at this club for a long time and the people here have given me no reason to think otherwise. I have been given constant reassurances."
