Portsmouth offer Liverpool's Crouch £75,000-a-week

Portsmouth are offering Liverpool striker Peter Crouch a cool £4 million-a-year.

The Mirror says Pompey plan to land the giant England striker in their biggest coup of the summer and insiders reveal that they are willing to pay him a stunning £75,000 a week to move to Fratton Park.

Portsmouth are also willing to pay Liverpool around £8million for him.

Newcastle, Manchester City and Middlesbrough are all keeping an eye on Crouch's movements, but Portsmouth are determined to sign him after failing in the last transfer window.

Pompey are also interested in Crouch's Liverpool teammate John Arne Riise, who also looks like being surplus to Anfield requirements.
