Portsmouth No2 Joe Gallen is delighted with their deal for Tottenham goalkeeper Luke McGhee.

McGee has joined Portsmouth on a three-year deal.

Pompey assistant manager Gallen said: “We're very pleased to secure the signing of Luke. He's come through Tottenham's academy system and they've produced a lot of good players.

“He went on loan to Peterborough last season and picked up the Players' Player of the Season award.

“And he's also someone that Kenny knows about from his time at Tottenham. He was really impressed with him.

“It's great that we've been able to bring in a goalkeeper who's good enough now and is going to improve in the future."
