Portsmouth No2 Tony Adams believes smaller clubs will be able to make a mark in the FA Cup because of the Premiership's success in the Champions League.
"Why? Because of the Champions League. We are getting stronger and stronger in that competition and as we do, players will be keeping their eyes on the Champions League and it may have a knock-on effect.
"Maybe some Villa's of this world will have a shout at it. I think that would be good for English football. I think a UEFA Cup place is sufficient for the winner because that might kill teams like us if they put a Champions League spot up for grabs."
