Portsmouth move for West Brom striker Wood

Portsmouth are keen on West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood.

The Mirror says the 20-year-old scored 11 goals on loan at Birmingham City earlier this term but refused to extend his spell, which ended last week.

The Kiwi ace was unimpressed that he did not get to start more games despite being Blues' top goal-scorer.

He is now back training at The Hawthorns but is keen to work with Pompey boss Michael Appleton for more starts.
