Portsmouth are considering a bid to sign Newcastle winger Nolberto Solano.

The Peruvian is keen to move closer to his family in London but the resurrection of Kieron Dyer's move to West Ham has ruled out a switch to Upton Park.

Solano, 32, attracted interest from Spain but has vowed to stay at St James' Park if he cannot get a move to a Premier League club in the south.
