Portsmouth making Hart three-year contract offer

Portsmouth have made Paul Hart a long-term contract offer.

The Sun says Pompey have handed three-year deals to caretaker boss Hart and his management team.

Hart's assistant Brian Kidd plus coaches Ian Woan and Paul Groves have also been offered the extended terms after helping to guide the club to Premier League safety.

Former Barnsley, Nottingham Forest and Chesterfield boss Hart stepped up from heading the Pompey youth programme to take over from Tony Adams in February and has suffered just three defeats in his 12 games in charge.

A delighted Hart said: "These last few months have got the fires inside me burning again."
