Reports have suggested that Portsmouth have approached Sven-Goran Eriksson to take over as manager following the sacking of Tony Adams.

The former England and Manchester City and current Mexico boss is being sounded out by Pompey but they have insisted that nothing will be made official until they have confirmed the identity of their new man.
