Portsmouth are making a deadline day bid for Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood.
Portsmouth boss Tony Adams will rival Middlesbrough and Stoke in a battle to sign Harewood as he bids to find firepower after the departure of Jermain Defoe.
Villa want to sell Harewood for a knock-down £2million but all three Premier League strugglers want the striker on loan.
