Portsmouth loanee Owusu-Abeyie regrets Russian move

Portsmouth's on-loan attacker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie regrets leaving England and does not want to return to Spartak Moscow at the end of the season. The former Arsenal youngster joined the Russian outfit in 2006 after quitting The Gunners in search of first-team football.

"I didn't have any doubts about coming to Portsmouth because this is my last chance to show what I can do in English football," explained the 23 year old.

"Russia? I was young at the time and it was hard for me to get into the team at Arsenal with so many big names.

"My agent at the time advised me to go to Moscow and now I regret it. I had to go a step back and now I'm trying to go forward again.

"I'm only on loan so it's possible I could have to go back to Moscow at the end of the season, but it is quite difficult for me over there - it's about minus 20 at the moment."
