Portsmouth legend Andy Awford says manager Paul Hart can rely on Linvoy Primus if he calls up the veteran to marshal his injury-hit defence.

Awford told The News: "I wouldn't have any qualms about putting either Linvoy or Martin Cranie in at right-back.

"Linvoy has been at the club for years and has been an absolutely terrific servant - for the club and the city. I think if we are safe there is a chance we could see him over the next couple of games.

"I'm sure it's something that Paul Hart will be considering for Blackburn, too. It is something he could have a look at in training this week."
