Portsmouth goalkeeper David James is convinced Harry Redknapp's team is yet to peak this season.
He believes they have helped take the Blues on to another level.
And the likes of Lassana Diarra and Jermain Defoe will really show what they can do when they settle properly at their new club.
James said: "We've got a number of new players.
"There have been players arriving in the window and there is more understanding to come with them. It's like with Lassana. I catch corners and he is making half runs. We'll have to work on that because there is potential for a quick counter-attack.
"These are things we make improvements on."
