Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has slaughtered the playing styles of Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers.

After their defeat to Bolton on Saturday, James told The News: "'We are echoing a lot of what happened last season in as much as we are a team that concedes too easily and arguably not through mistakes.

"Bolton scored three goals essentially from typical Bolton play.

"I would hate to see Blackburn versus Bolton this season, it would be one of the ugliest games of football for a long time."
