Portsmouth goalkeeper David James is in doubt for Wednesday night's World Cup qualifier against Belarus at Wembley.
The 39-year old has a knee problem and it remains to be seen if he will get up for the 'dead rubber'.
James sat out training which indicates he will not come up, potentially paving the way for Manchester United shot-stopper Ben Foster who was not included in Fabio Capello's original squad.
The red card Robert Green received on Saturday against Ukraine has ruled him out of the match hence the reason Foster has been called in as back-up.
Capello confirmed that James was in major doubt for the Belarus clash.
"James is not good. He'll stay with us and he's getting better and better. But I don't know if he's fit to start. If he's not 100%, he can be on the bench," the Italian said.
