Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has played down fitness fears.

James played down the latest injury he suffered in the warm-up for Sunday's match away to Stoke City.

"It's just a minor tear, so in some respects I'm happy," the 39-year-old said.

James has not started for his country since April and needs to prove his fitness before next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
