Portsmouth keeper James again linked with Tottenham

Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has again been linked with Tottenham.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly keen to bring in the 39-year old in the January transfer window for £1million but the fee could drop if current White Hart Lane custodian Carlo Cudicini is prepared to move to the south coast.

James fears Pompey's current position of last in the Premier League will have a detrimental effect on his chances for England's World Cup squad and the fact that Redknapp is likely to miss out on Blackburn's Paul Robinson will make him move for his old Portsmouth shot-stopper.
