Portsmouth keeper coach David Coles admits he's been frustrated this season with the club's financial mess.
Coles' anger is most obvious when his work is compromised. He is one of the most highly-rated goalkeeping coaches in the country, having also worked with Antti Niemi at Southampton and been courted by Tottenham. He takes great pride in what he does.
"January was a tough time for me personally because on deadline day, I didn't know whether Asmir Begovic was joining Stoke or Tottenham and I thought David James might go as well," Coles told the Daily Express.
"I was getting an England Under-19 international, Liam O'Brien, ready to play just in case, but a problem later arose over him.
"Liam was meant to go on the bench for the Wigan game last month, but I was told three hours before kick-off he couldn't because of a clause in his contract. He was devastated and so was I. Anything that affects the keepers affects me because we are all very close-knit."
