Portsmouth hero Alan McLoughlin is convinced the board will make a quick appointment in replacing Paul Hart.
The former midfielder can see Avram Grant stepping in, once he gains his work permit.
McLoughlin told TalkSport: I'd be surprised if it wasn't Avram Grant but it seems to me at the minute that Ian Woan and Paul Groves will be taking the team on Saturday. I'm sure they'll have ideas, I'm sure that if Paul was put in the position that he had been relieved of his duties they must have something in the pipeline.
"I suggest it will probably be a manager out of work rather than a manager that might be already in employment because of the compensation package with the financial situation it's a little bit difficult but I can't see why Avram wouldn't take the situation.
