Portsmouth hand scholarship forms to seven youngsters

Portsmouth have handed scholarship forms to seven young players.

The players have joined the club's academy and will strive to win professional contracts with the Blues by the end of their second year.

Lewis Tallack, Florent Cuvelier, Lewis Stockford, Yann Nsaku, Dan Bennett, Carl Walshe and James Seeley all signed their scholarship contracts in the Fratton Park boardroom under the watchful eye of academy manager Mark Kelly.

Two of the players are local: Tallack, a centre-half from Waterlooville and Stockford, a central midfielder from Southsea.

Belgian central midfielder Cuvelier and French centre-half Nsaku are both part of the new intake.
