English Premier League outfit Portsmouth and Italian club Genoa have joined the race for U.S. defender Oguchi Onyewu.
The Standard Liege man's contract has expired making him a free agent and attracting plenty of interest from outside suitors.
Pompey and Genoa have joined Ajax, Marseille, Palermo, Fulham, Birmingham, Parma and Fenerbahce for the 27-year old services but he has not ruled out remaining in Belgium.
"I haven't closed the door at Standard," he said.
According to reports in Italy, Onyewu is close to making a move to the Serie A with Genoa leading the race.
