He said: "Dindane is exciting, he takes people on and I think the fans will love that.
"He has a knee problem but still played the last 10 or so games of last season and scored a few goals. Admittedly it's a concern, but we've looked at it and see it as a medium to long-term thing rather than anything current.
"That's why the deal has been constructed as it has. He has come here on loan for a season so we will get a look at him and see how it holds up.
"I don't believe there is anything to worry about though and I am sure he can do extremely well for this football club. He's quick and strong, a very good dribbler who can get past people.
"He also gets himself in the right position to score goals. Dindane can play as any one of the front three in the current system, a bit like Tommy Smith, so he gives us great options.
"Harry tried to get him before only for that injury to happen - but he's here now and should be an exciting signing."
