Portsmouth face a battle with Lazio to land Al Sadd's Argentine whiz Mauro Zarate.

Pompey have agreed terms with Qatar club Al-Sadd for Zarate who's hit four goals for Birmingham since January, says the Mirror.

But Lazio reps are in Qatar trying to seal a permanent deal despite Zarate's £20m price tag.
