Portsmouth finished their UEFA Cup campaign with a 3-0 victory over Dutch club Heerenveen overnight.
After two earlier losses and one draw in the competition, Pompey had no chance of progressing through the next round but managed to produce a quality performance.
Creating many early chances, striker Peter Crouch scored a double before half-time; the first a customary header from the far post, the second an opportunists goal from a Kanu strike.
The second half was slightly lacklustre with limited chances coming from both sides until the 90th minute when a foul on the edge of the area enabled Glen Little to set up Herman Hreidarsson to head home.
