Portsmouth discussed Muntari swap for Tottenham's Kaboul

Apart from the Jermain Defoe deal, Portsmouth and Tottenham were locked in swap talks yesterday.

The Independent says at one stage during discussions a deal was proposed with Sulley Muntari, who cost £7m and is currently on international duty with Ghana at the African Cup of Nations, and £8.3m Younes Kaboul, who Harry Redknapp admires, swapping clubs. But that deal fell through.
