Portsmouth defender Ben Haim accepts major pay-cut for West Ham move

Portsmouth defender Tal Ben Haim is on his way to West Ham United.

The Sun says Ben Haim has taken a £7,500-a-week pay CUT to sign a four-year contract with West Ham.

The defender agreed a drop on his weekly £50,000 Portsmouth deal to clinch an immediate return to the Premiership after Pompey's relegation last season.

Ben-Haim will rejoin his old Fratton Park boss Avram Grant, now in charge at Upton Park.
