Portsmouth paid the price for missed chances as they crashed 3-0 at Fratton Park to relegation threatened Newcastle. Jermaine Defoe was the main Pompey culprit in front of goal whilst at the back Portsmouth have now conceded 13 goals in their last six games in all competitions.
Boss Tony Adams said, "We're beating ourselves a bit at the moment - we're going to have to stop the mistakes and be a bit more resilient.
"The supporters want to see us going forward and playing entertaining football but if we're conceding goals then it's no good.
"Two areas to work on this week are personnel and tactics."
