Portsmouth coach Joe Jordan is being linked with south coast rivals Southampton.

Jordan, 56, has been interviewed for the vacant post as Saints look to replace George Burley, who is now in charge at Scotland.

Steve Cotterill, Kevin Blackwell and John Gregory are also in the frame.

But Jordan - who played up front for Southampton in the mid-1980s - is a surprise addition to the shortlist.
