Bolton Wanderers are expected to complete the signing of Portsmouth pair Gavin McCann and Danny Shittu in a £2 million deal.
The Mirror says midfielder McCann, 31, makes Pompey the fifth Premier League club of his career after spells at Everton, Sunderland and Aston Villa before his two-year stint at the Reebok Stadium.
Nigeria centre back Shittu, 28, only joined Bolton from Watford last summer for £2m but has fallen down the pecking order following Zat Knight's arrival from Aston Villa.
Both players are set to make their Pompey debuts in tomorrow's (Weds) trip to Birmingham.
Bolton have agreed to accept a minimal fee up front with the rest to be paid once Pompey owner Alexandre Gaydamak sells the club.
