Portsmouth are planning to make three 'big-name signings' in the summer, according to chief executive Peter Storrie.
The Fratton Park club are determined to build on an encouraging season which has seen manager Harry Redknapp lead Pompey to the FA Cup final and seventh spot in the Premier League.
"I think the squad is strong at the moment, but I think of the current squad we are probably looking at bringing in another three," Storrie told The News.
"One or two may want to go. That tends to happen when people are not in the team regularly, so obviously there could be more than that if others leave.
"But we are looking at three and have already been working on a few - you'll hear all about those in the summer.
"These are big names. We're bringing in only quality players now.
"We are a quality side, we are a top-10 side, so it's only going to be quality people coming in.
"It's important we keep strengthening what is already an excellent squad so we can continue progressing.
"And that means bringing in even more quality players."
