Portsmouth chief Peter Storrie insists Niko Kranjcar wanted to leave the club for Tottenham yesterday.

"We agreed to sell Niko because he's got one year left on his contract and he wanted to go," Storrie said. "We didn't have to sell him for financial reasons.

"We want players who are 100 per cent committed to Pompey."
