Portsmouth midfielder Papa Bouba Diop is convinced they'll crack Europe this season.
"We have a squad that should really be playing in the competition next season.
"It's the next step on the ladder for this club. It's something the fans really deserve because they are some of the most passionate in the league.
"If we are being honest with ourselves, qualifying for the UEFA Cup is a more realistic target than the Champions League.
"As always, I think the top-four spots are already taken by Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, but the rest are up for grabs."
