Portsmouth could close a deal for Hajduk Split ace Nicola Kalinic today.

The News says the forward's agent has revealed two Fratton Park representatives are in Croatia to tie up a deal for the Hajduk Split forward.

Pompey could still face being priced out of a move for a player who is likely to cost around £6m.

But Croatian sources say they expect the transfer to be completed this weekend, although with chief executive Peter Storrie currently on holiday, it is unclear whether a deal could be sealed so soon.
