Portsmouth boss rules out Cook, Ljungberg

Harry Redknapp has played down rumours he wants to take Freddie Ljungberg and Lee Cook to Portsmouth.

Queens Park Rangers winger Cook has reportedly been the subject of a £2million offer by ambitious Pompey, having also been tracked by the likes of Fulham.

"I've heard the rumours about Lee Cook, but I don't know where they've come from," Redknapp told the News.

"He's not someone I've looked at."

There have also been suggestions that Redknapp is considering an offer for Arsenal midfielder Ljungberg.

The Swede has been linked with a summer move away from Emirates Stadium, but he is not on Pompey's list of targets.

Redknapp added: "Freddie Ljungberg's a good player, but I'm looking for strikers, really."
