Portsmouth boss Redknapp: You can't wind up Man Utd's Ronaldo

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed claims his players wound up Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo last week before his red card.

"I don't think Richard Hughes would wind anyone up," he told Goals on Sunday. "Ronaldo just reacted badly. I'm a massive fan of his, I think he's an incredible talent.

"He's not normally like that, he gets knocked over and he just gets on with it, but this time he reacted badly and had to be sent off.

"How are you going to wind him up? He's as strong as an ox, he's 6ft 1in and built like the Incredible Hulk! You kick him and he just bounces off you.

"I would never tell anyone to go out and wind him, or anyone, up. It's just not my style."
