Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp admits he would've taken Lassana Diarra to Newcastle if he had accepted the job last season.

"World-class ability," says Redknapp, who knows that even when Diarra gets the urge to move again it will be at a handsome profit.

"He's the sort of player you would once never have thought of as a Portsmouth signing but he's a reflection of how far we've come."
