Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp admits he's unlikely to take a risk on signing an Italian this summer.

He said: "Not many Italians make it over here. There are no guarantees they will settle in this country.

"I like Lucarelli. He's always scoring goals in Italy. But you look at all the players who come over who it doesn't work for.

"Of course there were people like Zola and Vialli who were fantastic. It doesn't work out that way all the time, though."
