Portsmouth boss Redknapp won't rush signing plans

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is happy to keep his powder dry over planned new signings.

Redknapp said: "It's not frustrating waiting for things to happen, but it's always difficult - especially at this time of the year. There is a big tournament going on, people are on holiday - it's tough to get things done.

"Transfers will happen if they happen. If they don't, you move on and look elsewhere. You certainly don't need to panic at this stage. A lot of players are away at the Euros and there is no mad rush to get someone in like there is in January.

"We'll wait for the right ones. If we can get them at what we think is a fair price, we'll do them. But if clubs are asking silly money for players, we'll take our time."
