Portsmouth boss Redknapp reluctant to lose Ipswich target Nugent

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is reluctant to lose striker David Nugent.

Ipswich are offering £5 million for the Scouser, but The Sun says Redknapp insists he wants him to stay - despite landing Peter Crouch to partner Jermain Defoe.

But the cash will come in handy if Redknapp wants to bolster his squad.

Nugent could consider dropping back down a division in a bid to resurrect his career.
