Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has played down rumours linking them with a move for out-of-favour Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.

"I haven't spoken to Peter. I haven't had any conversations with anyone at Liverpool so there's definitely been no contact," added Redknapp, who signed Crouch during his first spell at Portsmouth.

Redknapp balked at the suggested asking price of £15million, but reports claim the Reds may be willing to settle for £10million, to which Redknapp said: "That's getting more interesting."
