Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp was happy with their point in the 0-0 draw at Aston Villa.

The game was a poor spectacle with precious few chances at either end.

Redknapp said: "Martin O'Neill has built a very good team here and to restrict them to a very few shots on goal was excellent on our part.

"I thought Sol Campbell was terrific. He was up against a big man in John Carew and did splendidly."

Jermain Defoe missed Portsmouth's best chance of the game in the first half with the six-goal leading scorer firing over the bar from less than six yards out.
