Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp was full of praise for goalkeeper David James after their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.
James showed again why he is in England contention with fine saves from Ashley Young, Shaun Maloney and Agbonlahor.
Redknapp said: "David is top class. Everybody knows what I think of him. And I don't think any of our England players did themselves any harm in front of Capello.
"Glen Johnson was very good again and of course there was Defoe showing his ability in front of goal yet again."
