Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp believes Premiership football has lost it's sense of fun.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "I'd be a total liar if I said football wasn't far more fun in the good old days. Sure, there's loads of money in the game, but where's the real passion and desire coming from?
"I accept the game has evolved and you have to change and adapt to the times. But if you ask any footballer from my time and before they'll say it was a lot more enjoyable. Managers didn't come and go in a flash either.
"Clubs notoriously stood by their own, but the days of a manager lasting 15 or 20 years have long gone.
"Fun has given way to intense pressure, intolerable pressure at times. People say the money has compensated for that, but I don't agree."
Redknapp remains in the game because he still gets an enormous buzz out of winning.
"A manager can lose three matches and get fired, but I still enjoy winning football matches. There is nothing like it.
"The day it all becomes unbearable and I lose interest will be the day I pack it in and retire.
"If I win a game on Saturday I don't drive home. I float home."
