Portsmouth boss Redknapp delighted with Aubey debut

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp was delighted with debut of Lucien Aubey in their defeat at Tottenham.

He said: "Lucien did well. I thought he did ever so well. I was amazed to read one paper where it said he was poor. I think he probably got the worst marks. Then it said 'Moan of the Match: Aaron Lennon was hopeless, never got in the game, never got a kick'. That's funny, the left back is marking the outside right.

"If the outside right doesn't get a kick, especially if it's Aaron Lennon who's an England international and a fantastic talent, surely the left-back must have done alright?

"How he can be the worst player and against the other worst player? I find it very difficult to understand that one. He did a good job with Lennon. Lennon can rip people to pieces. I was pleased with him.

"It was his debut and I thought he passed it well, too."
