Portsmouth boss Redknapp: Arsenal's Traore, Belhadj are terrific

Despite a difficult week, Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp remains excited about his left-sided pair Nadir Belhadj and on-loan Arsenal fullback Armand Traore.

"The two kids on the left-hand side are terrific talents," enthused Redknapp. "They've both got good ability, can run all day and have pace and skill. Get them together on the left-hand side and they will be a big threat to anybody.

"Belhadj is a bright little player, full of energy, full of skill and gets up and down. He's quick, he recovers. One against one he's comfortable. We liked him when we saw him. I just felt he looked a real talent and he's got that energy. Even in training he lifts the pace of the place.

"He's so sharp and lifts everybody around him to play sharp and quick and that's how he is - he's good. Traore is very good. He's done well, is full of energy and pace.

"He's learning the game still. It's good for him to come here and play. I think Arsene Wenger's made a good move by getting the kid out and letting him play football. Traore's a left-back but I've played him wide left and he's shown he can play either position. He was rested the other day but will be back.

"We've got the two of them, they rotate well together, and up that left-hand side give you pace and skill. They are a bright little pair of players."
