Portsmouth boss pulls Kanu, Utaka out of friendly

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is pulling Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka out of the Nigeria squad this week.

Speaking after their 0-0 draw against Manchester City, Redknapp said: "I switched back to 4-4-2, because Kanu and Benjani were both fit and looking good. But we scored seven against Reading with just one man up front.

"Now Kanu's injured again. He won't be reporting to Nigeria for their internationals, because of a hamstring (problem) - and neither will John Utaka, who has a groin strain."
