Portsmouth boss Hart dismisses sack talk

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has shrugged off the latest round of sack speculation.

Hart has seen a mass turnaround in personnel with a large number of key players being allowed to leave in the summer.

The former Nottingham Forest boss has been busy trying to add to his squad in recent weeks, resulting in the fact just three players who were at the club last season started the league game at Aston Villa.

"Through May, June and July there were a number of names being touted around that were going to take the job on, there is only me here, there is only me who stayed here," Hart stated.

"There is only me that's gone through the rubbish in the summer. I'm still here I'm still backing the club.

"No-one wanted it at that point. It was there, it was up for offer. I have had so many names thrown at me they could all have had it and they didn't, but I did.

"You can call me I'm an idiot, I have been called that before, but I'm me and I'm standing up and I believe in the players here and I think we turn it round.

"It's a results-based business so I'm vulnerable in that respect but in terms with what I do on the pitch and the way the players respond I don't have a problem."
