Portsmouth boss Avram Grant almost invited an FA charge after questioning ref Mike Dean's performance in their defeat to Manchester United.

Dean, who awarded three penalties on the day, was also the referee for Grant's first game as Chelsea manager. It was another defeat against Manchester United with John Mikel Obi sent off for what looked to be a good tackle on Patrice Evra.

"Maybe he likes Manchester United, I don't know, maybe he doesn't like me," said Grant dryly, prompting Portsmouth's press officer to jump in to point out this was a joke.
