Portsmouth boss Adams stands by Mvuemba

Portsmouth boss Tony Adams won't hang Arnold Mvuemba out to dry after his clanger against Newcastle on the weekend.

Adams said: "Arnold has got to learn that not giving the ball away in those areas is quite vital for the team.

"I don't think playing off the right-hand side is his best position, either. I know he likes playing in the middle and he did very well there against AC Milan for 20 to 25 minutes in the Uefa Cup.

"It's a learning curve for him and he's a baby. He's got to learn from it and we have to move on."
