Portsmouth boss Adams ready for face-to-face talks with Liverpool's Pennant

Portsmouth boss Tony Adams is ready to talk face-to-face with Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant today.

After their 1-1 draw at Tottenham, Adams revealed: "It was my decision to move (Jermain) Defoe on. I need a group of players who are committed to Portsmouth Football Club.

"Maybe I am being a little bit naive believing players want to play for themselves, their team-mates and the club.

"It will be the same when I talk to Jermaine Pennant after doing the deal with Liverpool.

"If he doesn't want to come to Fratton Park, then we will all move on in another direction."
